2008’s “Music in the Drawing Room” Performers Announced
November 15, 2007
We very pleased to announce that, in 2008, Music in the Drawing Room will feature a married couple who are the toast of the Manhattan cabaret scene:
ERIC COMSTOCK & BARBARA FASANO
APRIL 18TH & 19TH
(OUR 8PM SHOWS ARE SOLD OUT. A SHOW HAS JUST BEEN ADDED ON THE 19TH AT 6PM. CALL TODAY WHILE SEATS REMAIN.)
Performances take place in the Main House and offer guests a rare and intimate experience in the stunning Drawing Room. This private room was the main setting for the Lunts to entertain their guests – luminaries from the 1920s to the 1950s, where the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Laurence Olivier, or Helen Hayes would be entertained by a song from Noël Coward.
Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano won the prestigious 2007 “MAC Award” for “Outstanding Vocal Duo” from the Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs. In fact, Ms. Fasano swept the MAC Awards, taking home “Outstanding Female Vocalist” and “Outstanding Recording.”
About Mr. Comstock:
- “Smart, funny, and utterly delightful… keen interpretive intelligence… a polished, enthusiastic storyteller… an ideal balance between swinging precision and good-humored warmth.” – The New York Times
- “An icon in the making.”– The New Yorker
About Ms. Fasano:
- “A beauty to hear and behold.” – Daily News
- “One of our most astute interpreters of song … hypnotic, superb, cabaret at its best.” – Cabaret Scenes
We are proud to welcome such talented and renowned cabaret artists for two-nights-only of intimate concerts in the Drawing Room at Ten Chimneys. Admission is $100 per person. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Kathryn & John Burke, 100% of the admission price will go to support the programs and activities of Ten Chimneys Foundation. Call (262) 968-4110 for reservations; Seating is extremely limited.
