“The Country Cousin” Play Reading
September 24, 2007
Ten Chimneys launched a fourth season of its highly-acclaimed collaboration with the Milwaukee Rep’s Interns on September 24th with The Country Cousin, Booth Tarkington’s hit 1917 comedy which follows the moral transformation of a young high-society philanderer, and originally starred the then unknown, Alfred Lunt. Like the Lunts’ dedication to collaboration and mentorship, the partnership between Ten Chimneys and the Milwaukee Rep. celebrates the bygone era of “the golden age of radio,” and allows audiences to see and hear the next generation of actors recreate the plays made famous by “the golden couple of Broadway.”
