Ten Chimneys Remembers Natasha Richardson

March 19, 2009

Everyone here at Ten Chimneys Foundation sends our heartfelt condolences to the family of Natasha Richardson – film star, and Tony-winning stage actress. Ms. Richardson passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, from injuries sustained in a fall on a Canadian ski slope. She was 45.

A member of the famous Redgrave acting family, her career included a vast number of stage and film successes; including her role in the film “Patty Hearst” and her Tony-winning interpretation of Sally Bowles in the highly acclaimed revival of “Cabaret.” When Sir Michael Redgrave (Ms. Richardson’s grandfather) saw her play Ophelia, all he could say was, “She’s a true actress.” We couldn’t agree more; she will be dearly missed.
