Ten Chimneys and The Milwaukee Rep Present “Idiot’s Delight”

April 27, 2009

On Monday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m., Ten Chimneys Foundation presents Idiot’s Delight as part of its ongoing public program, PLAY READINGS AT TEN CHIMNEYS, the highly-acclaimed collaboration between Ten Chimneys Foundation and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Artistic Internship Program. Idiot’s Delight won the 1936 Pulitzer Prize for playwright Robert E. Sherwood and will serve as the final reading for the talented 2008-09 class of Rep interns.

PLAY READINGS AT TEN CHIMNEYS takes audiences back to the “Golden Age of Radio” as the Rep interns recreate the plays made famous by “the golden couple of Broadway,” Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne. Idiot’s Delight was particularly special to Alfred Lunt as the story was his idea!

PLAY READINGS AT TEN CHIMNEYS are presented at the Lunt-Fontanne Program Center in Genesee Depot, WI. Admission is $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. Calls to reserve space are requested at (262) 968-4110.
