Mission

Ten Chimneys Foundation’s Mission

  • Preserve and Share the buildings, furnishings, collections, and grounds of a national treasure – Ten Chimneys, the estate created by Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.
  • Serve as a continuing resource and powerful inspiration for theatre, the arts, and the art of living.
  • Offer public programs consistent with the Lunts’ varied interests and core values, while maintaining the integrity and intimacy of this extraordinary estate.

Ten Chimneys is a National Historic Landmark, a “Save America’s Treasures” project site, and is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Ten Chimneys is owned by the non-profit 501(C)3 organization Ten Chimneys Foundation, Inc.

JOIN US FOR A GARDEN STROLL

6:00-6:15pm – Sign-In at the Program Center
6:15-6:30pm – Ten Chimneys Welcome & Updates
6:30-6:40pm – Stroll to the Estate
6:45-7:45pm – Twilight Garden Tour of the Estate
7:45-8:00pm – Shopping & Social Time back at the Program Center

Take a stroll through the gardens of Ten Chimneys for our next All-Volunteer Meeting. Our very own Master Gardeners will be stationed throughout the Estate, sharing the gardens that Lynn and Alfred so loved. Enjoy a peek in the Greenhouse and receive gardening information you can use at your home.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to surround yourself with the beauty of Ten Chimneys at twilight — for Volunteers only! We will plan to tour rain or shine, so please wear comfortable walking shoes, dress appropriately, and bring an umbrella (if needed).

To make this evening even more special, all gardening merchandise in the Museum Store will be 30% off for meeting attendees.
