About the Estate Tour
Ten Chimneys will open to the public for the 2024 tour season on Sunday, May 12th and run through Sunday, December 1st.
Tours will be available Tuesdays through Saturdays at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm, and on Sundays at 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Additional tour times may be added - actual times can vary based on the number of reservations on any given day. While we will try to accommodate walk-ins when there is room, ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Ring our reservation line at (262) 968-4110 for the exact tour times on a specific date. We are closed Mondays during the tour season.
During the tour season, our Program Center hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm and Sundays 11 am to 5 pm. Please stop in to learn more about Ten Chimneys and the Lunts, and visit our lovely Museum Store.
Off-season office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Admission Rates
Tour guests are placed in small comfortable groups and are led through the estate by our knowledgeable Docents, offering an engaging and personal experience for everyone who visits Ten Chimneys.
Full Estate Tour: $35 per person
The Full Estate Tour provides the optimum Ten Chimneys experience. This tour includes the three-story Main House, the rustic Studio, the Enchanting Cottage, the restored gardens, and the exteriors of the Pool House, Greenhouse, and Creamery. Guests should allow two (2) hours, including a shuttle ride to and from the estate. In addition, all exhibits in the Program Center are available for your viewing, along with the movie the Lunts starred in, The Guardsman.
Main House Only Tour: $28 per person
This tour is designed for those who may have difficulty traversing the full estate, and features the fourteen rooms in the Main House. Guests should allow ninety minutes, including a shuttle ride to and from the estate. In addition, all exhibits in the Program Center are available for your viewing, along with the movie the Lunts starred in, The Guardsman.
Champagne & Canapé Tour: $50 per person (not available in 2023)
The Full Estate Tour ending with champagne and canapés, served either in our Program Center with a beautiful view of the Kettle Moraine or on the Cottage porch overlooking the Estate (at our staff's discretion). Advance reservations are required. Guests should allow two and a half hours, including a shuttle ride to and from the estate. In addition, all exhibits in the Program Center are available for your viewing, along with the movie the Lunts starred in, The Guardsman.
Program Center Exhibits: $10 per person
All exhibits in the Program Center highlighting more about the lives of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, their work and plays are available for your viewing, along with a number of their lovely belongings. In addition, you can watch the one movie they starred in and were each nominated for an Academy Award, The Guardsman. (The exhibits and movie are automatically included if you are taking a tour.)
