John Eaton Lights Up the Drawing Room

John Eaton rehearsing in the Drawing RoomOne weekend a year, a celebrated musician brings the Noël Coward Piano and the Lunts’ mural-filled Drawing Room back to life with Music in the Drawing Room. In April, we welcomed John Eaton — widely considered one of America’s greatest jazz pianists, and one of the foremost interpreters of American music.  Mr. Eaton gave a different performance each evening: On April 19th, Indiana on Our Minds: The Songs of Cole Porter and Hoagy Carmichael; on the 20th, Cotton Club Blues and Concert Hall Rhapsodies: The Music of George Gershwin and Harold Arlen; and on April 21st, The Founding Fathers: Songs of Irving Berlin and Jerome Kern.

If you would like to hear about future evenings of Music in the Drawing Room, keep an eye on our upcoming public programs, or join our email list.
