The daughter of playwright (and friend of the Lunts) Romulus Linney, Laura grew up in the theatre, winning rave reviews from the start and eventual Tony nominations as Outstanding Lead Actress for her work in The Crucible, Sight Unseen, and, most recently, Time Stands Still. Ms. Linney is currently starring in the Showtime series The Big C, and in the soon-to-be-released film, Hyde Park on Hudson — opposite Bill Murray in the role of FDR to Ms. Linney’s Daisy, FDR’s cousin, confidante, and eventual mistress.
