On Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 9:30 am Art of Living Series at Ten Chimneys will be hosting a seminar, Planning & Planting a Vegetable Garden. Information on will be provided on vegetable gardening basics based on developing a sound garden plan. We will cover garden placement considerations such as sunlight exposure, soil quality, and convenience. You will learn how to make the most of your space through techniques such as succession planting, sequential planting, interplanting, and vertical gardening. The presentation also includes information on starting plants from seed versus planting seedlings, successful watering techniques, and mulching alternatives.
Kristen Lee Villegas is a volunteer for the Southeastern Wisconsin Master Gardeners, a professional Garden Coach, and a UW-Madison Certified Master Gardener. Kristen is Founder and Principle of Garden 4 Life, a landscape and garden design company specializing in helping homeowners improve their yards, gardens, and landscapes in the Lake Country area. She is also a passionate vegetable gardener and home composter.
