Shirine Babb is an award-winning actress, educator, mentor, and entrepreneur known for her classical training, artistic versatility, and professionalism. With more than 25 years of experience in theatre, film, and television.
Shirine holds a BFA in Musical Theatre, an MA in Acting from East 15 Acting School in London, and an MFA in Classical Acting from the University of San Diego/The Old Globe. In addition to her work as a performer, she is a dedicated mentor and educator who has taught at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, where she guided emerging artists in acting, audition preparation, and career development.
Most recently, Shirine received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Marian Anderson in the sold-out production of My Lord, What a Night at Penguin Rep Theatre. Her stage career spans Broadway, Off-Broadway, and leading regional theatres across the country. Broadway credits include The Piano Lesson, opposite Samuel L. Jackson; The Merchant of Venice, opposite John Douglas Thompson; Harry Potter and the Cursed Child; and King Lear, opposite Patrick Page. Additional theatre credits include productions with Shakespeare Theatre Company, Folger Theatre, Round House Theatre, Red Bull Theater, and numerous other nationally recognized
companies.
On screen, Shirine has appeared in national commercials, television series including Blue Bloods, Madam Secretary, Iron Fist, and Apple TV+'s Extrapolations and Crowded Room, among other projects. Her work has been recognized with a Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Ensemble and nominations from the Critics Circle Awards, Theater Circle Awards, and the AUDELCO Awards.
Shirine is also the founder and CEO of ACTORSPREP LLC, a coaching and career development company that supports actors at every stage of their artistic journey. ACTORSPREP provides personalized coaching, audition preparation, career guidance, and professional readers for both in-person and remote sessions, serving actors, casting professionals, and creatives throughout the industry.
When she is not performing, teaching, or mentoring, Shirine can often be found creating artwork at her easel, developing new projects, or enjoying long walks accompanied by her favorite podcasts and audiobooks.
